Description To provide and communicate relevant and timely management information in order to facilitate improved performance and financial control to support appropriate financial decisions. Provides support to all financial aspects of Aurorium.

Job Details

Technical

To lead the timely production of financial results by ensuring timely and accurate entry of financial information into financial systems to assist the management team with the decision-making process. To manage own time to meet the priorities for the month which will be aligned to the achievement of business goals and objectives. To provide and suggest areas of process improvement to increase efficiency and reduce operational cost. Ensure management accounting approach and preparation of reconciliations is done consistently across the European entities. Treasury management and cash forecasting for any given entity to provide detailed reporting of cash to European Finance Director. Working with local management accountants and other team members to ensure AR factoring process is done effectively so that cash needs are met Ensure month end close timetable and reporting for the designated region / site is met. Completion of balance sheet reconciliations. Ensure intercompany accounts are agreed across Europe on a monthly basis and with other entities globally. Ensure Bank reconciliations are done on a minimum monthly basis that recognises the level of financial control needed for that account. Misc GL postings. Ensure accruals and repayments are understood and required supporting documentation is avaialble for review. Ensure all VAT and Intrastat returns are accurately prepared and filed on time. Working with the Financial Accountant to ensure the smooth delivery of the annual audit for Europe, including US and local reporitng requirements. Supporting the completion of the annual operating plan (AOP) for all European sites. As part of the European finance team, support the development of systems and processes driving automation and efficient use of systems tools available. Manage the workload and development of management accounting team. Provide ad-hoc support to the European Finance team. To undertake other duties as may be required

Education & Qualifications:

Qualified accountant CIMA (or other CCAB qualification)

Experience: (industry and job specific)

Ideally will possess a minimum of 4 years’ accounting experience preferably gained within industry/manufacturing environment. Experience of having worked in a shared services type of environment is essential Ideally will have gained experience within a similar manufacturing company, with chemical industry experience being a distinct advantage.

Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities

SAP FI/SD/MM competence. MS Dynamics an advantage Advanced Excel skills (V-lookups/Pivot Tables) Good working knowledge of Microsoft Word, PowerPoint and Outlook/E-mail. Excellent verbal and written communications skills in order to liaise with both internal and external stakeholders. Ability to work to tight deadlines and monthly closures. Ability to organise work effectively and efficiently – organising and prioritising multiple tasks.
