Overview of the Role

As a Senior Outsourced Accountant working in Beaconsfield within a modern accountancy practice, you will take responsibility for supporting a varied portfolio of clients across outsourced finance services. This is a hands-on position combining technical accounting, client communication, and the review of work produced by junior team members. You will play a key role in ensuring accuracy, consistency, and high standards across management accounts and VAT deliverables, while also supporting clients with their day-to-day financial queries and cloud accounting systems within a growing accountancy environment.

What You'll Be Doing

Reviewing management accounts prepared by junior team members to ensure accuracy and completeness Checking VAT returns across a range of schemes including standard, flat rate, cash accounting and partial exemption Supporting clients with bookkeeping queries and providing clear, practical guidance Assisting with onboarding clients onto cloud accounting systems and supporting system migrations Delivering training and support on accounting software and processes Acting as a key point of contact for client communication and job completion Providing constructive feedback to support team development and improve quality standards Helping to manage workloads effectively to meet deadlines and expectations
