A vacancy has arisen within the Accounts Payable Department, Financial Services, based at Falkirk Community Hospital.

As part of a small team, you will be responsible for the processing of transactions on the creditors sub ledger within the financial management system, including full liaison with budget holders and ensure all suppliers are paid within agreed credit limits, in compliance with NHS Forth Valley Standing Documents, Financial Operating Procedures and the Prompt Payment Policy. Provide clerical and administrative support to the Accounts Payable Manager and Accounting Services Manager through the maintenance, development and production of financial reports.

Candidates should possess excellent written and oral communication skills; you should have a good working knowledge of spreadsheets and word processing packages.

Ideally you will be educated to Association of Accounting Technician (AAT) Foundation Level/NVQ level 3 or equivalent experience in the account’s payable systems function of a large organisation.

The duties of this post require the successful candidate to complete a Level 2 Disclosure Scotland check.

As from 1/4/26, the Agenda for Change full-time working week will be reducing from 37 to 36 hours per week. Part time hours will be reduced pro-rata. However, there will be a corresponding increase in the hourly rate so that pay will not be affected.
