Applied AI Engineer
Join a healthtech that actually does tech for good
The NHS is one of the most ambitious ideas in modern society: world-class healthcare, free at the point of use.But today, it’s under pressure from rising demand, constrained resources, and systems that weren’t built for modern care.
We’re here to fix that.
At Healthtech-1, we’re building the technology to unlock access to healthcare getting patients to the right appointment the first time. This isn’t about marginal gains. It’s about rebuilding critical infrastructure for millions of people.
Why this role matters
35% of NHS staff time is spent on admin. That’s the opportunity. Our first product is already used by 26% of GP practices in England, and we’re now scaling a platform that transforms how patients and clinicians interact with healthcare. As one of our Senior Product Engineers ,you’ll own and shape the experiences used every day by patients and clinicians where performance, clarity, and reliability directly impact care.
What we’re looking for this hire to do:
We're reimagining how technology, data, and AI can empower every team across the business. You'll help build the platforms, tooling, and guardrails that enable teams to move faster while maintaining the highest standards of quality, security, and reliability. Our goal is to make it possible for anyone in the company to safely bring ideas to life and see their impact in production.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
