Apprentice Civil Engineering Technician

EN:Able Futures is partnering with Alan Wood and Partners to recruit an Apprentice Civil Engineering Technician in the West Ayton area of Scarborough. This role is ideal for someone interested in becoming a Civil Engineer and keen to use CAD.

Requirements

• GCSE in English (grade 5)
• GCSE in Maths (grade 6)
• GCSE in Science (grade 5)

Responsibilities

• Producing CAD drawings
• Preparing simple calculations
• Supporting the administration of projects
• Ensuring outputs meet the required standards
• Meeting agreed deadlines
• Maintaining drawing register
• Working as a member of a team
• Contributing to providing solutions to problems
• Working both in an office environment and on-site visits

Benefits

• Wage: £16,484 a year
• Training course: Civil engineering technician (level 3)
• Hours: Monday to Friday 08:30-17:00 (37.5 hours a week)
• Duration: 2 years
• Start date: Monday 18 May 2026
• Post-apprenticeship: Full-time role or progression onto a higher-level qualification
