Apprenticeship
As an apprentice, you’ll work at Pink Elephants Nursery and get hands-on experience. You’ll gain new skills and work alongside experienced staff. Most of your apprenticeship is spent working, learning on the job.
Requirements
- Desirable qualifications include GCSEs in English and Maths (Grade C or 4+).
- Share any other relevant qualifications and industry experience, as the apprenticeship can be adjusted.
Responsibilities
- Work closely with children aged 0-5 years old, looking after their daily needs (feeding, nappy changing, toileting).
- Work as part of a team to meet the requirements of the Early Years Foundation Stage.
- Plan, provide, and support age-appropriate play opportunities.
- Ensure the safeguarding and welfare of all children.
- Be a key person to an allocated number of children and their families.
- Observe, assess, and record children’s learning and development progress.
- Provide an enabling environment that meets the needs of each unique individual child.
- Build and maintain positive relationships with parents/carers.
- Adhere to and follow the setting’s policies and procedures.
- Ensure confidentiality is adhered to at all times.
- Attend regular team meetings.
- Maintain high standards of health and safety, hygiene, and cleanliness.
- Attend additional training events and meetings as identified by the setting manager.
- Liaise and work in partnership with external agencies.
- Undertake any other duties as deemed necessary by the setting manager.
