Role Description

This exciting role involves overseeing the smooth delivery of weddings, corporate events, conferences, and private functions while leading and motivating a team of 10+ staff in a fast-paced hospitality environment. From elegant banquets to high-profile corporate gatherings, you will play a key role in creating exceptional guest experiences from setup through to event completion. Responsibilities include coordinating event logistics, supervising food & beverage service, managing staffing and schedules, maintaining high operational standards, and ensuring every event runs seamlessly. Working closely with clients and department teams, you will help deliver memorable experiences while upholding the historic charm and luxury reputation of the venue. Ideal for someone passionate about hospitality, leadership, and event operations, with strong organisational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to thrive under pressure in a dynamic events environment.

Qualifications

Strong organisational and time management skills, with the ability to coordinate multiple weddings, conferences, and events simultaneously in a fast-paced hospitality environment. Excellent customer service, communication, and interpersonal skills, with a passion for creating memorable guest experiences and building positive client relationships. Proven experience leading and motivating teams of 10+ staff, including training, scheduling, and maintaining high operational standards during busy service periods. Solid knowledge of food & beverage operations, banqueting service, and event logistics, ensuring seamless event delivery from setup to completion. Confident problem-solver with strong attention to detail and the ability to remain calm and adaptable under pressure. Previous experience within conference & banqueting, weddings, hospitality, or event operations roles. Flexible and reliable, with availability to work evenings, weekends, and peak event periods as required. Understanding of health & safety and hospitality service standards within luxury or high-volume venues. Passionate about delivering exceptional events within unique and historic settings such as Coombe Abbey Hotel.
