We are looking for an experienced, qualified and forward-thinking information governance professional to join us at an exciting time in the growth of our client facing information governance services.

MIAA provide information governance and data protection services to a growing client base covering fully out-sourced Information Governance services, virtual Data Protection Officer services, interim support and related consultancy.

As the Assistant Director (Information Governance and Data Protection) you will lead our team of information governance professionals and will not only oversee the delivery of existing services but will have responsibility for growing our client base and developing our service to meet future challenges.

You will have primary responsibility for the professional development of the team, ensuring that the services delivered are of the highest quality, and for managing financial and resource budgets.

Your subject matter expertise will put you, and the team, at the forefront of information governance in the NHS and the wider public sector and you will, personally, be seen as an expert voice at regional and national level; influencing, rather than reacting to, policy and regulation changes.

You will be working across all MIAA clients in a flexible/hybrid model. with attractive benefits including an excellent salary of up to £91,609 (NHS Agenda for Change) Band 8c and NHS pension scheme.

MIAA operates in a unique trading environment, operating across the NHS in the Northwest and beyond as well as in the wider public and third sectors providing assurance, advisory and direct delivery services to approximately 60 organisations on a commercial contractual basis.

The Assistant Digital Director (Information Governance and Data Protection) is a critical role, providing strategic and operational leadership for Information Governance, Freedom of Information and Subject Access Request services across MIAA and its commissioned client organisations.

The postholder acts as the lead subject matter expert in Information Governance and Data Protection both internally, across multiple NHS organisations as the lead for MIAA’s outsourced Information Governance service, and across health and care systems as a trusted advisor on the information governance aspects of collaborative working and new system deployments, at all times ensuring compliance with legislative, regulatory and national requirements including GDPR, FOI and NHS standards.
