Uplands Manor Primary School is seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Assistant Headteacher to lead English, Phonics and Oracy across our school. This is an exciting opportunity to join a committed Senior Leadership Team and play a key role in driving teaching excellence and securing strong outcomes for all pupils.
The role includes a class teaching commitment of 2 days per week, DSL and phase lead.

Role Overview:
Lead English, phonics and oracy across the school Lead a key stage which will be KS1 initially Drive standards and pupil outcomes Monitor teaching, learning and progress Contribute to whole-school leadership and improvement Drive improvement in teaching, learning and pupil outcomes Support and develop colleagues through strong leadership Contribute fully to the strategic direction of the school The role includes a teaching commitment of 2 days per week, allowing you to model excellent classroom practice Be a Designated Safeguarding Lead

Be an excellent classroom practitioner with high expectations Have proven leadership experience and impact Have strong subject knowledge in English and early reading Be committed to inclusion, safeguarding and raising achievement for all pupils
