About Us

Our team provides an Occupational Therapy service on the Island of Bute. We are an Integrated Occupational Therapy Team who are based in the Victoria Annexe in Rothesay and work primarily with the adult population in both in-patient and community settings.

About The Role

An opportunity has arisen for a Band 4 Assistant Practitioner in Occupational Therapy to join the integrated Occupational Therapy service. This is a crucial role in terms of the smooth day to day running of the OT Team and you will support the Occupational Therapists with their caseloads, working flexibly across all aspects of our service. You will work under the supervision of registered Occupational Therapists and use specialist assessment and rehabilitation skills with your own caseload of less complex clients, supporting them to maximize their independence at home. The role also encompasses the provision of equipment and recommendations regarding minor and major adaptations.

About You

You should be confident, have great communication skills and either have an HNC in Occupational Therapy Support or be willing to work towards and HNC in OT Support and have more than three years’ experience of working in an existing role within either Health or Social Care.

It is essential that you have a full UK Driving Licence, have excellent organisational and IT skills and an ability to prioritise a varied workload.
