What you'll bring to the team Assistant Training & Compliance Manager Location: Thorpe Park, Chertsey, KT16 8PN Contract Type: Permanent, salaried Hours: Full time, any 5 days out of 7, predominantly 9am-5pm (flexible) We are recruiting for an Assistant Training & Compliance Manager to join our AWESOME Technical Services Team! As Assistant Training & Compliance Manager, you will play a vital role in keeping our Technical Services operation safe, compliant and future‑ready. You’ll help shape how training and compliance are delivered across the department, ensuring our engineering teams have the right skills, systems and support to perform at their best. You will be a visible and proactive presence, championing safety, driving continuous improvement and making sure standards aren’t just met, but consistently raised. From audits and inspections to training strategy and competency tracking, you’ll turn complex requirements into clear, workable solutions. Working closely with managers, supervisors, training partners and external bodies, you will help embed a strong culture of accountability, learning and collaboration, ensuring Thorpe Park continues to deliver world‑class experiences, safely and reliably. Qualifications & Experience Strong understanding of safety, compliance and statutory requirements, ideally within engineering, maintenance or ride operations Experience developing, implementing and monitoring compliance strategies, procedures and records Knowledge of risk assessments, safe systems of work and standard operating procedures Confidence supporting audits, inspections and remedial action tracking (e.g. LOLER, PSSR, electrical inspections) Experience supporting or delivering technical training, competency tracking and training records Excellent organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines Strong written and verbal communication skills, comfortable liaising with internal teams and external stakeholders A proactive, questioning mindset with the confidence to challenge and improve existing practices Ability to work collaboratively across departments and influence without authority Flexible approach to working hours, including weekends and peak operational periods Benefits 40% discount off LEGO® sets and products on the online LEGO Store!
