We’re looking for a Battery Storage Development Engineering Manager to play a pivotal role in shaping and delivering our next-generation battery projects.

The Role As our Development Engineering Manager, you’ll: Lead the technical due diligence of large-scale BESS projects – covering design, grid connections, procurement, and operational strategy. Support planning applications, environmental and construction management plans. Guide equipment procurement processes, developing design criteria and performance specifications. Partner with lenders, advisors, contractors, and suppliers on engineering and project delivery. Drive innovation – working with suppliers on technology advancements, efficiency improvements, and asset optimisation. Provide ongoing technical support to our construction and asset management teams.

About You We’re seeking an energetic, technically strong, and commercially savvy engineering professional with: 5+ years’ experience in power generation/storage with a development engineering focus. 3+ years’ direct experience in battery storage systems, Li-Ion technology, and systems integration. Degree in Electrical, Renewables, or Industrial Engineering (or equivalent experience). Proven ability to engage effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Desirable: Experience in BOP/BOS, MV/HV Substation Engineering, and exposure to M&A technical due diligence.
