Marketing, Communications and PR Adult Education (Ofsted regulated) Digital Technology Commercial Trading (Independent Director for subsidiary company)
What difference will you make?
A Director also, referred to as Trustee is a voluntary (non-paid) role and play a vital part of making sure Murray Hall Community Trust achieves its core purpose.
They oversee the overall governance and management of the charity. They also ensure Murray Hall has a clear strategy and that our work and goals are in line with our mission. Just as importantly, they support and appropriately challenge the executive team, enabling Murray Hall to grow and prosper in pursuit of our vision. for people in our community to thrive and be empowered to exercise agency with equal access to opportunities to live healthy lives within a supportive community so no-one is left behind.
Directors/Trustees collectively form our Board of Trustees/Directors and have a collective responsibility and are responsible for shared decision-making. This means that Directors always act as a group and not as individuals.
What are we looking for?
Willingness and ability to understand and accept their responsibilities and liabilities as Directors and to act in the best interests of the organisation. Ability to think creatively and strategically, exercise good independent judgement and work effectively as a Board (team) member. Effective communication skills and willingness to participate actively in discussion. A strong personal commitment to equity, diversity and inclusion. Enthusiasm for our vision and mission. What will you be doing?
Our current board comprises a chair and four other directors/trustees, each having specific responsibility for specific areas of the the organisation including Clinical and Safeguarding, People, Culture and Estates, Finance, Governance and Business Development and chairing the respective sub-groups which govern each area.
Our strategic priorities 2024-29 are to -
Strengthen organisation sustainability for resilience; Increase our presence within the community to meet diverse needs; Develop and delivery quality services to achieve positive outcomes; and Develop an organisational development programme aligned to our values.
