Are you a seasoned Business Development professional with a proven track record selling high-performance InGaAs photodetectors and a strong existing network across the European photonics market?
We are looking for a driven, well-connected Business Development Manager to accelerate our growth in the European InGaAs detector market — with a primary focus on the DACH region, while actively expanding across the rest of Europe.
At Premier Photonics we are a young, agile, and highly customer-focused fabless manufacturer specialising in high-performance InGaAs PIN photodetectors, Extended InGaAs, InGaAs APDs, Silicon PIN/APDs and laser diodes. Our products are already winning designs in laser range finding, test & measurement, TDLAS gas sensing, laser power monitoring, LIDAR, telecom/datacom, industrial, medical and defence applications.
Now we want to significantly increase our market share in InGaAs detectors across Europe by growing our strong existing segments and successfully entering new high-potential market areas — and we need the right person on the ground in Germany to lead the charge.
The Role Based in Germany (home-office with regular travel across the DACH region and broader Europe as required) Full ownership of InGaAs detector sales and business development across Europe Direct reporting to the CEO (UK)
Your Mission Drive revenue growth and win significant new design-ins for our InGaAs portfolio across Europe Leverage and expand your existing network of OEM customers while identifying and penetrating exciting new high-growth market segments Position Premier Photonics as the agile, responsive, and cost-effective alternative in the InGaAs detector space Develop strategic accounts, key distributors and system integrators Provide market intelligence and customer feedback to shape our product roadmap Work closely with our technical and manufacturing teams to deliver custom solutions and solve obsolescence challenges for customers
What You Bring Proven track record in selling InGaAs or equivalent high-performance photodetectors in Europe Strong existing contacts at European OEMs in photonics, laser, sensing, test & measurement, defence and industrial markets Deep technical understanding of InGaAs PIN/APD technology and its applications Hunter mentality combined with excellent relationship-building and negotiation skills Experience with photonic component manufacturers is a strong advantage Fluent German and English (both spoken and written) Willingness to travel regularly within Germany, DACH and broader Europe
