Redbridge Registration Services is looking for two customer-focused Business Support & Registration Officers to join our team. This is a front-facing, office-based role providing a professional first point of contact for registration enquiries, bookings and payments, as well as wider administration support for Registration & Celebratory Services.

Essential

What we’re looking for

Experience of working in a registration or front line service setting. Strong customer service skills and the ability to deal with people in a range of circumstances, including those who may be bereaved or anxious. Clear verbal communication skills and confidence handling one-to-one enquiries. Ability to work effectively as part of a team, building positive working relationships. Ability to work accurately, follow statutory procedures and maintain confidentiality. Neat and legible handwriting and attention to detail. Working knowledge of MS Office (or similar systems) and confidence using basic spreadsheets/records. Adaptable and receptive to change, with a flexible approach to service delivery.

Desirable

Full UK driving licence. Ability to adapt working hours to meet business needs (e.g., occasional evenings, wedding fairs, extended opening hours). Willingness to work from any Council site/building, as required.

This is an office-based role due to its customer-facing nature. Some weekend working is required.
