Job Description
Air Import Clerk
What you`ll do:
To coordinate and manage air import shipments from arrival through to final delivery, ensuring shipments are processed accurately, compliantly, and within customer and company service expectations.
The role involves communication with overseas offices, airlines, handling agents, customs brokers, transport providers, and customers to ensure the smooth movement of freight.
Key Responsibilities
Manage air import shipments from pre-alert through to final delivery Monitor shipment progress and update milestones within CargoWise/E2K or operational systems Liaise with overseas offices, airlines, handling agents, transport providers, and customers Arrange customs clearance processes and ensure all documentation is compliant Review and validate shipping documentation including : HAWB MAWB Commercial invoices Packing lists Customs documentation Ensure accurate and timely data entry into operational systems Arrange deliveries and coordinate with transport providers Proactively manage delays, exceptions, and service failures Provide customers with shipment updates and resolution of queries Ensure all files are billed correctly and closed within company KPI requirements Follow company SOPs, compliance requirements, and security procedures Support achievement of departmental service and operational KPIs Maintain accurate shipment records and imaging/document retention Escalate operational or service concerns where required What We’re Looking For

Previous freight forwarding or logistics experience preferred Understanding of air freight import operations Strong organisational and communication skills Ability to manage multiple shipments and priorities Good attention to detail and accuracy Customer service focused Competent in Microsoft Office applications Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment

This is a full-time position, working from 09:00-17:30 with 1 hour lunch break from Monday to Friday.
