Aviation Recruitment experts Optime are excited to be recruiting Check-In Agents to join a well-respected and successful client in Bristol Airport. What’s on offer: Rate of Pay: £13.77 per hour Shifts: 20 and 25 hours per week. Weekly pay Temp to perm (performance based) 2 weeks paid training provided. Ongoing shifts and development opportunities available. Start Date: 29th June 2026 Key Duties: Assisting passengers with checking in their luggage using the self service machines and processing documentation ahead of their travel. The role will require you to work on your feet for extended periods of time. This is due to check in areas being predominantly self service. The role covers all front of house customer service tasks, to ensure a smooth and seamless passenger journey through Bristol Airport. Greeting passengers on arrival at the airport and answering any queries passengers might have about their journey, assisting with any disruption and resolving issues. Check passengers’ travel documents, such as passports, and boarding passes, to confirm their identity and eligibility for travel. Collect any applicable fees for checked luggage, excess baggage, or other services, and process payments using point-of-sale (POS) systems. Manage and organise passenger queues to ensure an efficient and orderly check-in process, especially during peak travel times. Be prepared to respond to emergency situations, such as flight delays, cancellations, or disruptions in a calm and professional manner, providing passengers with updated information and solutions. Upholding airline standards and company values at all times in your customer service, personal presentation and timekeeping. There will be opportunities to up skill and complete airside boarding training. Shifts: The Airport is operational 7 days per week and candidates will be working a 20 or 25 hour roster rota done on a rotation. This could be subject to change! Please find below an example of a 20 and 25 hour roster: 20 Hours - 3 on 6 off: Day 1: 0300 – 1200 / 0400 - 1300 Day 2: 0300 – 1200 / 0400 - 1300 Day 3: 0300 – 1200 / 0400 – 1300 X6 Rest Days Day 1: 1200 – 2100 Day 2: 1200 – 2100 Day 3: 1200 – 2100 25 Hours - 5 on 3 off: Day 1: 0300 – 0800 / 0400 - 0900 Day 2: 0300 – 0800 / 0400 - 0900 Day 3: 0300 – 0800 / 0400 - 0900 Day 4: 1200 – 1700 / 1300 - 1800 Day 5: 1200 – 1700 / 1300 - 1800 Overtime is available! Requirements: Previous customer service experience is desirable. Great communication and interpersonal skills. Good attention to detail. Confident using technology / IT systems.
