Children’S Residential Care Officer (Auton Newcastle)

Children's Residential Care Officer (Auton Newcastle)

Salary: £15.04 per hour, plus enhanced overtime and sleep-in rate paid at £80.00 per sleep-in.

This role also attracts a Welcome Bonus of £350

Location: Residential children’s home in Newcastle upon Tyne

Hours: 37 hours per week working over a 7 day rota including weekends and sleep ins..

We are looking for people who are passionate and enthusiastic about enhancing the lives of children and young people in our care. As one of our Residential Care Officers, you will support children and young people with complex emotional and behavioural needs to maintain a healthy lifestyle by advising, educating and promoting positive choices. You will also be responsible for helping us to deliver high quality residential provision.

Ideally, you will have experience of working in children’s residential care or possess transferable skills from a similar role. However, it is more important that your values align with those of our charity and the requirements of Ofsted and that you have integrity and a strong desire to help others.

As an integral part of our care team, you will immediately benefit from our structured training programme and be fully supported to complete a Level 3 Diploma in Children and Young People if you don’t already hold this qualification.
