About the role You’ll work closely with some of the world’s best‑known global eCommerce fashion brands, owning the part of their customer journey that truly matters: returns. These are established partnerships — your role is to nurture them, strengthen them, and unlock more value across our 3PL network.
As Client Development Director, you’ll lead a portfolio of high‑profile fashion clients, overseeing returns operations across multiple warehouses. This isn’t about winning new business; it’s about deepening relationships, expanding services, and helping customers overcome operational challenges as their volumes and ambitions grow.
As a trusted senior contact, you’ll support clients through peak, drive continuous improvement, and work closely with operations, solutions design, and finance to turn issues into opportunities — driving service excellence, incremental revenue, and true long‑term partnerships.
This is a full‑time, permanent role offering hybrid working, with site presence at our Bradford (BD12) location. The package includes a salary of £83,000–£93,000, car allowance opportunity to earn a bonus, alongside a structured development plan with clear opportunities for progression.
Key reasonability's: Develop and deliver long‑term client strategies that drive retention, sustainable growth, and profitability. Lead strategic business reviews, QBRs, and joint planning sessions to align priorities and identify future opportunities with key customers. Act as the senior escalation point for high‑impact customer issues, ensuring timely resolution and protecting long‑term relationships. Represent the voice of the customer internally, balancing customer needs with operational capability and commercial objectives. Align cross‑functional teams around shared customer outcomes, service excellence, and commercial goals. Identify unmet needs and transformational opportunities to shape future customer demand and enhance partnership value.
What we need from you You bring proven experience in a similar senior commercial or client‑facing role, ideally within a comparable environment and customer base. You know what good looks like and how to deliver it consistently. You’re an exceptional communicator, confident in the boardroom, credible in technical discussions, and able to adapt your style to influence at every level. You have a strong commercial mindset, with a clear understanding of revenue generation, cost management, and key financial metrics, using this insight to drive sustainable growth and profitability. You’re skilled at anticipating client and market needs, translating insight into clear, value‑driven strategies that align with wider business objectives. A customer‑centric leader, you put client experience and insight at the heart of decision‑making, building long‑term value, trust, and loyalty. You also lead and develop high‑performing teams, creating a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
