About the role Join Oteca as an infrastructure provider at the forefront of clean water and wastewater innovation. In this role, you will take charge of commissioning excellence across a portfolio of complex projects, ensuring seamless integration of MEICA systems that provide essential services to communities throughout North West England.

This role offers a combination of site-based and project work, requiring flexibility in working location and hours to meet project demands. Key Responsibilities: Commissioning: Lead commissioning delivery for allocated projects, bringing new assets into operation and working alongside multi-disciplinary teams to ensure alignment with scope and timelines. Documentation: Produce and sign off on Commissioning Documentation (including commissioning plans, sequences, RAMS, and ITPs) and ensure all Design Documentation (including electrical drawings, P&IDs and system architecture) is updated and finalised to as-built versions. Systems Commissioning: Oversee the installation, testing, and commissioning of Mechanical Systems, Electrical Systems, and Instrumentation and Control Systems Site Readiness: Lead Worksite Readiness Reviews and coordinate activities with clients and subcontractors, including FAT, SAT and Client witness test activities. ICA & Automation: Direct the commissioning of Instrumentation, Drives and MCCs, PLC and HMI systems, ensuring full ICA Combined functionality. Project Coordination: Actively communicate and engage in collaborative commissioning meetings, report progress and assess the impact of changes through effective Project Coordination & Communication. HSE & Compliance: Enforce strict Health, Safety & Environmental (HSE) rules.

About you We are looking for someone with a strong technical foundation, a proactive mindset with attentional to detail, and the ability to take ownership of commissioning activities.

Essential Skills: Electrical competence: Authorised to work with systems up to 400v and a strong grasp of electrical fundamentals and fault finding. Technical Expertise: Solid understanding of MEICA systems, PLCs, MCCs, and a wide range of instrumentation (pressure, flow, quality), supported by technical qualifications in relevant engineering subjects and practical experience commissioning these systems. Problem-Solving: Problem-Solving & Diagnostics skills to identify and resolve complex system faults during the commissioning phase. Full UK Driving Licence with use of own vehicle for work. BS7671 (18th Edition) IET Wiring Regulations.

Desirable Skills: Experience acting as a Senior Authorised Person (SAP) or Appointed Person (AP). DSEAR awareness or CompEx certification. Electrical / Instrumentation qualified - HNC / HND / Degree. CSCS / ECS Card and SSSTS / SMSTS. Experience with industrial networks (Profibus / Profinet) Experience with end-to-end testing of telemetry systems.
