Community HIV Nurse Specialist

This is an exciting opportunity to join a highly specialist, supportive Community HIV team delivering care that truly changes lives.

Based in Brighton, you will work across community settings in Brighton and Hove, and West Sussex providing expert nursing care to people living with HIV. The role offers autonomy, variety and the chance to develop specialist expertise, while being supported by an experienced and values‑driven team.

If you are passionate about inclusive care, enjoy building meaningful long‑term relationships with patients, and are looking for a Band 6 role where your skills, compassion and initiative will be valued, this could be the perfect next step for you.

We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Band 6 Community HIV Specialist Nurse to deliver high‑quality, person‑centred care to adults living with HIV across Brighton and Hove and West Sussex.

You will manage a specialist community caseload, undertaking holistic assessments, planning and evaluating care, and supporting patients to manage their condition and live well at home. The role involves working autonomously while collaborating closely with primary care, acute HIV services, voluntary organisations and the wider MDT to ensure seamless, coordinated care, particularly around hospital discharge.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

It searches the market for you

Every day your agent scans the market matching roles against what actually matters to you, not just keywords on a CV.

Only hits

No noise. No "maybe this fits." Just roles with a clear explanation of why they're right — and where to focus when applying.

You will also support and line manage Community HIV Support Practitioners, ensuring safe delegation and high standards of care. Strong communication skills, clinical judgement, and a commitment to reducing stigma are essential.
