Community Staff Nurse

A fantastic opportunity has arisen for either a newly qualified nurse or someone keen to join our team in East Lochaber with previous community experience. You will cover a caseload in a wide geographical area covering urban and rural communities. There will also be the opportunity to work across other community nursing teams in Lochaber.

Post registration experience is desirable. You should have a sound knowledge of clinical skills relevant to community nursing. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills are fundamental to the role, as is the ability to work both on your own initiative and as part of a team.

The post is for 36 hours per week which includes weekends. There will be an on call commitment as the service requires for palliative care.

A current driving licence is also essential for this post as you will be expected to drive efficiently and effectively across the locality of Lochaber to meet the operational requirements of the service. Whilst access to a pool car is available the use of your own car for work purposes is an essential requirement of the post.
