Salary
Grade 4 £13.47 per hour (pay award pending) plus enhancements for weekend work, shift work (assessed) bank holidays and sleep in shifts as relevant (max £19.26 at weekends)

About The Role

The Service provides short breaks for people with learning disabilities in purpose built accommodation
The support worker role involves all aspects of daily support, including supporting people to access activities and experiences in their local community, personal care, support with managing finance, administering medication and ensuring people's needs are met in terms of health and positive outcomes

Key Accountabilities
To support people with disabilities, including individuals with profound and complex needs, using person centred approaches to enable people to achieve positive outcomes as defined in their support plan
To support people with dignity and respect in order to meet their day to day needs, including personal care supports
To support individuals to access a range of opportunities and experiences, either from their own home or in a community setting, including for example swimming, walking, bowling, dancing, shopping etc
To work in accordance with relevant national legislation and service specific policies and practice guidelines at all times
Skills and Experience
Experience of working with adults who have a learning disability is desirable but not essential as you will be given the necessary support and training to undertake this role.
Applicants who do not hold NVQ Level 3 at the time of appointment will be required to complete QCF Level 3 Diploma in Health and Social Care* within the first 2 years of employment (where applicable) *Please note this training will be funded by the Service
