Compliance Executive

An international law firm is looking for a Compliance Executive to join its Risk & Compliance team based in Newcastle.

The Compliance Executive will work closely with the Head of Risk and wider Risk & Compliance team, supporting the firm’s regulatory and compliance framework across a broad range of matters.

Key Responsibilities for the Compliance Executive:

Assist the Head of Risk with the day-to-day management of the firm’s compliance and regulatory obligations Support the development, implementation, and maintenance of risk and compliance policies and procedures Assist with monitoring compliance with SRA Standards and Regulations and other relevant legal and regulatory requirements Support the firm’s conflicts, AML, client onboarding, and risk management processes where required Maintain accurate compliance records, registers, and reporting documentation Assist with preparing management information and compliance reports for senior stakeholders Monitor regulatory developments and assist with implementing changes to policies and procedures Work collaboratively with teams across the business to promote a strong risk and compliance culture

Skills & Requirements:

Previous experience within a legal risk and compliance role, ideally gained within a law firm Strong understanding of legal and regulatory obligations applicable to law firms Experience supporting AML, conflicts, client onboarding, or wider compliance processes would be advantageous Proficient in Microsoft Office applications and compliance systems
