Job Description
To assist FCE’s Head of Compliance and Compliance Manager in the fulfilment of the Compliance Monitoring Programme, by assessing management, functions and locations’ adherence to Prudential Regulation Authority (PRA), Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) and other relevant European and Global rules and regulations.
To conduct specialist regulatory project work and resolve technical issues escalated by the business.
Report directly to the Compliance Manager and support the Head of Compliance and Compliance Manager on compliance monitoring matters and provide holiday or sickness cover to other compliance team members.
Responsibilities
Assist in the identification of all Compliance risks to which the business is exposed and help maintain and update the Compliance Risk Register for the bank. Assist the Head of Compliance and Compliance Manager with the delivery of FCE’s Compliance Monitoring Programme with the production of time-bound compliance monitoring reports to the Regulatory Compliance Committees in line with the schedule. Follow up and provide technical expertise/advice on any control deficiencies and approved corrective actions with stakeholders/affected business units. Assist with reviewing compliance-related policy letters, policy statements and procedures in-line with corporate standards and guidelines. Assist with the preparation of the input into the monthly data packs to be submitted to the Regulatory Compliance Committees following completion of compliance monitoring reports. Assist the Head of Compliance and Compliance Manager in the maintenance of constant and open dialogue with all FCE business units so as to provide Compliance advice to enable business units to operate in a compliant manner. Oversee monitoring and closure of any reported Compliance OICs, GAO comments, Operational Risk Events or Regulatory Breaches. Maintain constant and open dialogue with all FCE locations, functions and business units so as to provide Compliance advice to enable business units to operate in a compliant manner; cultivating a strategic compliance culture and understanding of issues imperative to FCE and Ford’s success. Participate in cross-functional teams with respect to FCE Bank plc's strategic initiatives and business projects to assess and advise with respect to regulatory compliance issues.
Qualifications
Essential Skills:
Demonstrated experience and expertise in navigating, interpreting and understanding the FCA and PRA rulebooks, coupled with a thorough understanding of the Consumer Credit Act and other regulatory requirements - with the ability to effectively apply these regulations within the context of FCE Bank plc. Exceptional organisational skills with a proven track record of managing multiple items simultaneously, each with unique scopes and subjects. Outstanding oral and written communication skills - ensuring timely and accurate completion of written reports while maintaining high standards of quality and attention to detail. Good technical knowledge of products and services offered by FCE. Good technical knowledge of products and services offered by Ford Motor Company and the Ford dealer network. Demonstrable knowledge of the regulatory environment and associated risks in which FCE operates. Good technical knowledge of FCE’s European service centre operations, Insurance, Marketing, financial promotions and complaints handling processes. Detail conscious individual, with a high level of diplomacy and integrity. Ability to analyse and manipulate large amounts of information (management data, customer files, internal procedures, regulatory outputs) and articulate this into robust findings / recommendations. To understand what the fair treatment of customers means and to ensure this is consistently incorporated into the role as appropriate.
Desirable:
Experience working with or for a regulatory body e.g. FCA or FOS. It is preferable that the candidate either holds or is willing to study towards a financial services industry recognised qualification.

This position is based in Dunton, and it is expected the successful candidate will be able to attend the Dunton Campus for typically 4 days a week and remain flexible on the days they are required to attend the office according to business requirements.
