This position is working 40 hours per week, any 5 in 6 days, including bank holidays.

Our coldstore operatives play a vital role in ensuring our customers receive the best quality meals, and their contribution is crucial to the smooth running of our operation.

In this role, your primary responsibility will be working within our coldstore, picking and preparing frozen Wiltshire Farm Foods meals ready for delivery, ensuring accuracy, quality, and efficiency at all times. You will take pride in your work and be willing to go above and beyond to support the wider team.

Alongside your coldstore duties, you will occasionally support the driving team by delivering meals to customers to cover holidays and sickness. When out on the road, you will represent the business as one of the friendly faces of Wiltshire Farm Foods, enjoying meeting customers and always delivering a positive experience.

You will regularly be working within our coldstore, which operates at a chilly -20ºC. Protective clothing designed for these temperatures will be provided, along with regular breaks to warm up and enjoy a hot drink when necessary.

You will need to work as part of the wider team, always looking to help out both warehouse and office colleagues where required. We actively encourage movement between teams to provide flexibility, job satisfaction, personal development, and a strong understanding of the whole business.

Deliver frozen meals to our customers in a timely manner Picking orders within the coldstore Using our app to update customers deliveries Delivering exceptional customer service at all times Undertake pre-shift inspection of your van Drive safely, responsibly and within the law Clean and refuel your van as and when needed Contact the office with any discrepancies or delays Ensure customer confidentiality Helping the office team and picking team when required Reporting health and safety, stock quality and mechanical issues Assist the team if another member of the team is absent or on holiday Carry out local marketing activities such as leaflet door drops and sheltered housing visits to attract new customers

Essential

Experience within a customer service-based role Full UK Manual Driving Licence Basic computer literacy including use of phone apps Evidence of work stability Basic secondary education

Desirable

Experience of multi-drop delivery role Experience within a care-based role Warehouse experience Health & Safety awareness

Personal Qualities

You must have held a UK manual driving licence for at least 2 years.

All offers of employment are subject to a Driving Assessment, Driving Licence checks and basic DBS checks.

As this role involves working with elderly and vulnerable customers, it is exempt from The Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 and requires a basic. DBS Disclosure.

The amendments to the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 (Exceptions) Order 1975 (2013 and 2020) provides that when applying for certain jobs and activities, certain convictions and cautions are considered ‘protected’.
