Cyber Security Lead

Cyber Security Operations Lead – Coventry - £55-65k

We are currently working with a business with operations across the UK that is recruiting for a Cyber Security Operations Lead to join them on a permanent basis.

The role will be a combination of hands-on and leadership, overseeing Information and Cyber Security Analysts and ensuring the smooth running of day-to-day security operations.

This is a hybrid role, initially with two-to-three days per week on-site, then reducing to one day per week on-site.

Responsibilities:

Leading and supporting Security Analysts, including triage of incidents Ensuring that the team perform scheduled checks, maintain security controls and resolve any user issues Owning and developing the relationship with the outsourced SOC team Working closely with engineers to ensure security controls remain up to date Carrying out reporting on security incidents, ensuring relevant reporting metrics are in place Identifying opportunities for automation and improvement in tools and workflows Running programmes to test security controls and measures Helping to develop a culture of security across the business

Key skills and experience:

Strong leadership experience, with the ability to mentor and motivate security teams Vast hands-on experience in SOC or Cyber Security Analyst roles Excellent understanding of and experience with SIEM, EDR, vulnerability management, IAM etc. Experience working with ISO27001 and/or similar control frameworks Strong communication and reporting skills Able to maintain a calm approach whilst under pressure Eligible for SC Clearance
