Data & Analytics Intern – Finance | Manchester

Join Global Finance Services, our finance shared services team, in Manchester and help transform how data drives decision-making across a global organisation.This role sits within our finance function and will support teams across Order to Cash (OTC), Procure to Pay (PTP), and Record to Report (RTR) by delivering high-quality data analysis, reporting, and insights. You’ll play a key role in helping improve data visibility, accuracy, and decision-making across the department.

This is a hands-on role where you’ll take ownership of meaningful projects, not just support tasks. You’ll gain exposure to large, complex datasets and play a key role in improving how finance operates at scale.It is an excellent opportunity for a student looking to apply data skills in a real-world finance environment within a fast-paced, global organisation.

What You’ll Be Doing

Collate and clean datasets from internal and external sources Build and maintain reports and dashboards Conduct exploratory analysis to surface trends and insights Support presentation of findings to internal stakeholders Document data processes and methodologies

What We’re Looking For

Studying towards a degree in a numerate discipline (e.g. data science, statistics, economics, computer science) Proficiency in Excel; working knowledge of Python, R or SQL an advantage Ability to communicate findings clearly to a non-technical audience Organised, detail-oriented and comfortable working with large datasets
