The School of Education, University of Leeds are seeking reliable and detail-oriented Data Collectors to join our team on a temporary basis. The School of Education is researching a maths coaching intervention across various schools in England, funded by the Education Endowment Foundation. In this role you will visit secondary schools to administer group-based maths assessments to year 7 and year 10 pupils as an invigilator to collect pupil outcome data. We are looking for data collectors who can visit schools in specific regions (the Midlands and the North). You will be responsible for one region only, but travel will be required within this region, so access to a car is preferrable. Training for the role will take place May 15th.

Key Responsibilities

Travel to assigned secondary schools and set up assessment sessions. Administer group-based assessments in accordance with provided guidelines. Ensure accurate recording and secure handling of data. Liaise with school staff to coordinate testing smoothly. Report any issues promptly and maintain confidentiality at all times. Record and report travel expenses accurately and in a timely manner. Requirements A graduate level qualification, in the disciplines of Education, Social Science, or similar is preferred (or working towards).

Experience in educational settings or working with children and young people preferred. Experience with data collection preferred. Basic IT proficiency (e.g., using tablets, laptops, and data entry systems). Strong timekeeping, organisational, and communication skills (incl. English proficiency). Ability to manage groups of young people in a professional and supportive manner. An understanding of safeguarding guidelines. Flexibility to travel and work during school hours. Professional, approachable, and adaptable in different school environments. Appointment for this position is dependent on a clear enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check. Entitlement to work in the UK will also be required.
