Data Integration Specialist

Data Integration Engineer (Senior / VP Level) Contract Role | London (Hybrid) Rate: £700/day (Umbrella) Contract Length: 6 months Location: London (5 days in 10 in office)

A leading financial services organisation is seeking an experienced Data Integration Engineer to join their data team on a contract basis. This is an excellent opportunity to work on complex data integration and regulatory reporting systems within a highly dynamic environment.

Key Responsibilities Design, develop, and maintain robust data integration pipelines Work across multiple systems to ensure accurate and efficient data flow Perform data modelling, transformation, and creation of data marts Support regulatory reporting requirements within a banking environment Manage and optimise data platforms, tools, and ETL processes Troubleshoot data issues, ensuring high data quality and compliance standards

Required Skills & Experience Strong hands-on experience with SQL Server and Oracle databases Advanced proficiency in SQL (PL/SQL, T-SQL) Proven experience with ETL tools such as DataStage, SSIS, or Alteryx Solid understanding of data modelling and data integration techniques Experience working with regulatory reporting systems in banking Knowledge of data quality, security, and compliance requirements

Desirable Skills Exposure to cloud platforms such as Azure or Databricks Familiarity with middleware technologies (e.g. Kafka, IIB, MQ) Experience with ECB/AQR reporting frameworks

Key Competencies Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities Ability to diagnose complex data issues and implement effective solutions Excellent communication skills, both technical and non-technical Strong organisational skills and ability to work collaboratively
