Key Responsibilities

Analyze and optimize database performance for large-scale MySQL and PostgreSQL environments. Partner with the development team to design, implement, and maintain robust database structures. Develop, test, and manage data backup and recovery procedures to safeguard business-critical information. Monitor database environments to proactively identify and resolve performance bottlenecks. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align database solutions with evolving business needs. Document database configurations, processes, and best practices to ensure operational transparency and continuity. Stay current with emerging SQL and database technologies to drive continuous improvement.

Required Skills And Qualifications

Advanced hands-on expertise with MySQL and PostgreSQL administration. Proven track record in database optimization and troubleshooting. Strong command of SQL for querying, scripting, and performance tuning. Experience with backup, restore, and disaster recovery processes. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to clearly document and explain complex technical information. Collaborative mindset and a proactive problem-solving approach. Ability to work effectively in a remote, distributed team environment.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience implementing and managing database security best practices. Familiarity with cloud-based database solutions and automation tools. Previous collaboration with cross-functional or global teams.
