About the Role
We are now seeking an outstanding individual to join our Leadership Team as Director of Housing and Community Initiatives. This is a pivotal role with responsibility for ensuring the delivery of efficient, high-quality housing management services while leading the Association’s wider community role. It offers the opportunity to influence strategic direction, strengthen services and support the continued development of a thriving and resilient community.
Operating within a sector that continues to experience significant change, Milnbank is adapting to evolving regulatory expectations, increasing customer needs and wider economic pressures. The incoming Director will play a central role in sustaining this positive direction, ensuring that services remain responsive, effective and firmly aligned with the Association’s values.
The successful candidate will:
Provide strategic leadership across housing services and community initiatives Ensure excellent standards in allocations, tenancy sustainment, estate management, rent performance and customer engagement. Lead the development of community-based activity, working closely with partners and stakeholders to expand opportunities that support tenants and enhance neighbourhoods. As a key member of the Leadership Team, you will contribute to business planning, risk management and organisational performance. Ensure compliance with all regulatory and governance requirements.
This role requires a confident and collaborative leader who can motivate teams, build strong relationships and maintain a clear focus on delivering for customers. You will bring substantial experience in housing management, alongside a strong understanding of the wider social and regulatory landscape. Just as importantly, you will demonstrate a genuine commitment to community, equality and continuous improvement.
