Entry Level

Role Overview While your title is E-commerce Assistant, this isn't a standard "data entry" role. At Books2Door, we are looking for a sales-driven strategist. You won’t just be managing listings; you will be responsible for the commercial performance of our products across our primary website and various digital marketplaces. Your goal is to treat our digital shelf space like a high-stakes retail floor—optimising for conversions, identifying upsell opportunities, and ensuring our book sets are positioned to move at pace.

Key Responsibilities

Commercial Listing Optimisation: Go beyond basic SEO. You will write persuasive, sales-focused copy and select imagery that highlights the "value proposition" of our book collections to drive immediate clicks and conversions. Marketplace Sales Management: Monitor daily sales performance on platforms like Amazon, eBay, and our own site. You will adjust pricing strategies and promotional visibility based on real-time stock levels and competitor activity. B2B & Bulk Lead Coordination: Identify and reach out to potential bulk buyers, such as schools, libraries, and independent retail organisations. You will act as the bridge between our digital inventory and high-volume sales opportunities. Data-Driven Merchandising: Analyse sales reports to identify "hero products" and "slow movers." You’ll propose and execute flash sales, bespoke bundles, and "Deal of the Day" campaigns to maximise revenue. Trend Spotting: Keep a pulse on BookTok, educational curriculum changes, and seasonal trends to ensure our sales strategy aligns with what parents and readers are searching for right now. About You: The "Sales" Mindset

We aren't just looking for someone who knows their way around a CMS; we want a proactive commercial thinker. Competitive Spirit: You get a buzz from seeing a product move from page 10 to page 1 of the search results and watching the sales figures climb. Analytical & Agile: You can look at a spreadsheet, see that a specific box set isn't shifting, and immediately pivot the strategy (price, title, or ad spend) to fix it. Persuasive Communicator: Whether it’s writing a product description or emailing a school headteacher, you know how to sell the "why" behind the book. Meticulous Detail: You understand that a typo in a price or a broken discount code is a lost sale. Experience & Skills

Experience: 1–2 years in E-commerce, Digital Sales, or a high-volume Retail environment. Platform Knowledge: Familiarity with Shopify, Amazon Seller Central, or eBay Shop management is highly advantageous. Tech Savvy: Proficient in Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUPs and Pivot Tables should be familiar) and comfortable learning new ERP or inventory systems. Passion for Books: A genuine interest in the publishing industry or children’s literacy is a plus, but a passion for growth and commercial results is essential. Why Join Books2Door?

Books2Door is on a mission to make brand-new books affordable for every child. By joining our sales team, you aren't just moving units; you're helping put stories into the hands of thousands of young readers while working in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment where your direct impact on the company's growth is recognised and rewarded.
