About The Role
Environmental Sustainability Advisor required on the Skye reinforcement. As an ES advisor you will support regulatory submissions and working practices associated with activities moving into Part/Enabling works alongside the requirements to support on-site operational ES activities.
What you'll be doing
Managing environmental risks & opportunities by providing on-site advice to operations and design teams on environmental management, compliance and project specific mitigation measures including pollution control and ecological and archaeological protection. Produce and update environmental management plans, environmental risk assessments and site information packs. Ensure compliance with legal, contractual, and ISO14001 requirements, including directing and supporting project teams in the preparation of consents, licences, and permits. Environmental data collection, validation and analysis Providing technical advice via various mediums and to a variety of audiences Conduct inspections, audits, and reviews; facilitate external audits; and report findings to the Project Team. Environmental guidance & training by delivering environmental training, toolbox talks and undertake onsite coaching. Investigating environmental incidents There may be a requirement for weekend shifts.
Who we're looking for
Full driving license and flexibility to travel Educated to degree level or able to demonstrate equivalent competence and
Experience In Environmental Science Or Environmental Management Or Other
applicable disciplines.
Affiliation/membership level of a relevant professional body (IEMA/CIEEM/CIWEM) or ability to demonstrate equivalent experience and competence. Good knowledge of environment management and sustainable development, with the relevant experience working in a construction environment and/or other operational-focused environment desirable. Practical experience and knowledge of environmental statutory requirements, including environmental legislation & regulation, ISO14001, pollution prevention and wider environmental good practice. Ability to work within multi-disciplinary teams and support embedding environmental sustainability into project delivery.
