As a vital member of our care organization, you will provide essential support and companionship to our clients during evening and weekend hours.Offer companionship and engage in meaningful conversations with clientsAssist with personal care tasks, including bathing, dressing, and groomingProvide support for continence care when neededHelp with morning and evening routinesPerform light housekeeping duties, such as dusting, vacuuming, and changing linensPrepare nutritious meals and snacks, ensuring food safety guidelines are followedAccompany clients to appointments, social events, or outingsStimulate and encourage clients through various activities and hobbiesAssist with medication reminders as directed by the care planMaintain a safe and comfortable environment for clientsDocument and report any changes in client's condition or concerns to the appropriate supervisorCollaborate with other care team members to ensure consistent, high-quality careQualificationsPassion for caring and genuine interest in improving the lives of othersStrong communication skills and ability to build positive relationships with clients and their familiesEmpathetic and patient demeanour, with a friendly and approachable attitudeRespect for diverse backgrounds, beliefs, and medical conditionsCommitment to non-discriminatory care practicesExcellent time management skills and reliabilityGood personal hygiene and professional appearanceAbility to work independently and as part of a teamPhysical capability to assist clients with mobility and personal care tasksFlexibility to work evening and weekend shiftsEnhanced Disclosure clearance (preferred)Valid driver's license and reliable transportation (preferred but not required)Previous caregiving experience (preferred but not required)Basic computer skills for documentation purposesCPR and First Aid certification (preferred)
