Freelance | Flexible Hours | Local Travel We are expanding our pool of face‑to‑face interpreters across Gloucestershire to support NHS services, local authorities, and community organisations. This is a flexible freelance role where you choose your assignments and make a real impact in your local area.
About the Role You will provide accurate, professional, and impartial interpreting during face‑to‑face appointments. This may include public sector settings such as healthcare, local authorities, and other community services. Assignments are offered based on your availability, location, and the languages you speak.
Languages Needed We are currently recruiting speakers of a wide range of languages, including but not limited to: Arabic, Bengali, Bulgarian, Cantonese, Czech, Slovak, Farsi, French, Gujarati, Kurdish, Latvian, Lithuanian, Pashto, Polish, Portuguese, Punjabi, Romanian, Russian, Somali, Spanish, Turkish, Ukrainian, Urdu, Vietnamese, and others. If your language is not listed, you are still welcome to apply.
What You Need Fluency in English and at least one other language Strong communication skills Ability to travel to appointments across Gloucestershire Professionalism, reliability, and confidentiality Right to work as self employed in the UK Enhanced DBS (we can help you apply)
This role involves regular travel within and around the Gloucestershire region including: Gloucester Cheltenham Banbury Swindon Quedgeley Stroud Tewkesbury Hereford
