Finance Director

Job Advert: Finance Director Location: Burnley, Lancashire Salary: £100,000 - £120,000 per annum I am currently looking to speak with experienced Finance Directors from the Leisure and Hospitality sector, for a fantastic opportunity working with a growing and well-established organisation based near Burnley. This is a senior leadership role, with responsibility for shaping financial direction and growth of the company, whilst leading the finance team and driving financial strategy.

Key Responsibilities: Lead the finance function, overseeing all aspects of financial management, reporting, and strategic planning. Work closely with the CEO and senior management team to provide financial insights, forecasts, and recommendations to drive business growth. Oversee budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting for the business. Provide support to the Board, ensuring sound financial decision-making aligned with the company’s strategy. Manage cash flow, working capital, and financial risk to ensure profitability and liquidity. Support M&A activities and integrations, where relevant. Drive financial processes, implementing best practices for financial controls and efficiency. Lead, mentor, and develop the finance team, fostering a culture of performance and accountability.

Requirements: ACA/ACCA/CIMA or equivalent qualified. Proven experience in a Finance Director or senior finance role, ideally within the leisure, hospitality, or similar service-based sectors. Strong exposure to working in a Private Equity-backed business, with an understanding of PE expectations and reporting. Demonstrable experience managing finance teams and delivering financial strategies within businesses with a turnover of around £30m. Expertise in financial forecasting, budgeting, and cash flow management. Excellent communication skills, with the ability to engage with both financial and non-financial stakeholders at all levels. A proactive, strategic mindset with a hands-on approach to problem-solving.
