Finance Manager (3m FTC minimum)

Eden Scott Accountancy & Finance Division is delighted to be partnering with a well-established organisation in Ayrshire to recruit an experienced Finance Manager on an interim contract basis (minimum 3 months). This role offers a fantastic opportunity to step into a high-impact position during a critical year-end period, working within a supportive and well-structured finance team.

Reporting directly to the Finance Director, you will take ownership of year-end accounts preparation and play a key role in delivering a smooth and compliant audit process. This position would suit a hands-on finance professional who thrives in fast-paced environments and can quickly add value.

You’ll play a pivotal role in ensuring the integrity of financial reporting, strengthening controls and supporting the wider finance function through a busy and important period.

Key responsibilities:

Lead the preparation and completion of year-end accounts Manage the year-end close process, ensuring accuracy and timely delivery Prepare detailed audit files and supporting working papers Act as the key point of contact for external auditors, responding to queries efficiently Ensure compliance with regulatory and financial reporting requirements Review and maintain strong financial controls across the finance function Support and guide the wider finance team during peak activity Identify and implement process improvements where appropriate Assist with statutory reporting requirements and internal reporting deliverables

What we’re looking for: To be considered for this role, you will bring:

Proven experience delivering year-end accounts and supporting audit processes Experience within a public sector or regulated environment Strong technical accounting knowledge Ability to hit the ground running in an interim role Strong communication and stakeholder management skills A proactive, hands-on approach with excellent attention to detail
