Finance Systems Accountant

Reporting To: Director of Financial Operations

The Finance Systems Accountant is responsible for supporting the implementation of Certinia and Nebulaw (Salesforce) systems. This includes requirements gathering, system configuration, deep dives into system bugs, reconciliation of financial data and liaising with the internal Finance team and external consultants to drive timely resolution of issues. The role will also support transactional Finance Managers with robust accounting reconciliations and solutions.

This role involves but is not limited to: Data Integrity & Controls Ensure accuracy and consistency of financial data Implement and monitor system controls and audit trails Support compliance with financial regulations and internal policies Reporting & Analysis Support month-end and year-end close processes Perform complex month end reconciliations and resolution of issues Support transactional Finance Mangers with robust accounting reconciliations and solutions Work with Systems Implementation Manager and external consultants to resolve issues in the systems Business Partnering Work with finance stakeholders to gather and document business requirements Translate finance needs into functional system specifications Train finance users on systems and best practices Develop training materials and deliver end-user training

Requirements: Essential Knowledge of finance systems (ideally in a Legal Services business) Experience in data migration and system integration Strong understanding of finance processes (GL, AP, AR,) Excellent analytical and problem-solving ability Excellent financial reconciliation skills Stakeholder management and communication skills

Desirable Professional accounting qualification (e.g., ACCA, CIMA, ACA) Experience with project management tools (Jira) Knowledge of finance controls and compliance Experience working with system integrators or professional services firms Advanced excel skills
