The Opportunity As Finance Director, you’ll play a pivotal role in shaping the future of the business. Reporting to the Group CFO and working closely with the Managing Director, you will be a true business partner, providing commercial insight, operational challenge and financial leadership to support growth, performance and value creation. This is a role for someone who is comfortable being hands‑on when required, while also setting direction, raising standards and building a high‑impact finance function.

Key Responsibilities Act as strategic finance partner to the MD and leadership team, supporting business transformation Drive financial performance, challenge assumptions and ensure alignment with group strategy Lead and develop the finance team, ensuring robust controls, governance and compliance Own budgeting, forecasting, long‑term planning and monthly reporting Deliver meaningful KPIs, commercial insights and decision support Take ownership of manufacturing costing, pricing, margins and inventory Manage working capital, cash, capital investment returns and efficiency initiatives Oversee local statutory, tax and audit requirements Support change initiatives, including systems and process improvements About You Fully qualified accountant with significant senior finance experience Strong background in manufacturing and distribution, ideally multi‑site Commercially astute, resilient and confident challenging at SLT level Comfortable operating in a PE‑backed or fast‑paced environment Hands‑on leader who enjoys being close to the operation and visible on the shop floor Skilled at translating finance for non‑finance stakeholders Curious, pragmatic and effective even where data or systems are evolving Package & Location Attractive six‑figure base salary plus bonus and benefits West Midlands–based role within a 24/7 operational environment On‑site presence required to support effective leadership and business partnering If you’re an experienced Finance Director looking to make a tangible impact in a growing, PE‑backed manufacturing business, we’d love to hear from you.
