The Brief:

We're looking to hire an FP&A contractor to lead a short‑term transformation of our core FP&A assets and processes. Legal 500 is in a state of transformation - we have doubled headcount in the last 18 months, gone from one location/offices to three, we're modernising and developing new products to become ever more relevant to our global law firm client base.

We see this role delivery‑focused, hands‑on, and time‑bound, with a clear mandate to rebuild, optimise, automate, and transition FP&A capability for handover to the permanent team. This is not a 'business as usual' position, we are looking to see tangible improvements in our FP&A capability by the time we reach the end of the 6 month contract.

What we're looking for:

Essential: Strong, hands‑on FP&A background with deep Excel modelling capability Proven experience rebuilding and simplifying FP&A models and templates Practical experience working with Power BI (especially in finance or performance contexts) Experience connecting operational data to financial reporting Highly structured, delivery‑oriented, and comfortable working independently

(Very much) preferred: Prior FP&A transformation or change‑focused contracts Experience migrating reporting from Excel into BI tools Exposure to subscription, SaaS, research, data, or recurring‑revenue models Experience improving or automating FP&A processes
