About Maxima Opus Ltd Based in Bury St Edmunds, Maxima Opus provides cloud and cyber security consulting to small and medium-sized businesses across East Anglia and the wider UK.
We help organisations, particularly those in regulated or security-sensitive industries, improve their cyber security, modernise their systems, and reduce risk. What we are looking for We are looking for a commercially minded professional who wants a flexible, commission based side income in B2B sales.
This role suits someone who is confident speaking with business owners and wants to earn alongside other work or commitments. What you will be selling Two core services:

Cyber security awareness training Short, practical sessions for business teams that improve understanding of common cyber threats and reduce human related security risks. This is often the first step in starting conversations with new clients.

Penetration testing A detailed cyber security assessment that identifies vulnerabilities in business systems and provides clear recommendations to improve security posture. This is a higher value service with stronger earning potential. The role You will be responsible for engaging business owners and decision makers, generating interest, and progressing conversations through to agreement.
You will manage your own approach and schedule. The focus is primarily on East Anglia businesses, although wider networks are welcome.
This is a self employed freelance role, commission only. What we provide We provide sales materials, messaging guidance, and technical support where required. Once a client is onboarded, we handle full delivery of the service. Commission is clearly defined and paid once the client has paid. Who this role suits This role will suit someone with experience in sales, account management, recruitment, marketing, consulting or business development.
It may also suit someone currently employed who is looking for an additional income stream alongside their main work.
You should be comfortable speaking with business owners, building relationships, and working independently.
