Ricoh are currently recruiting for a Functional Consultant - Finance who will be based in the Finance, Contracts & Leasing workstream of the IT Business Relationship & Solution Design team. We are looking for someone with broad Oracle Financials experience who is able to work on projects across the whole scope of Financials but with a particular focus on tax, accounting & e-invoicing / reporting.

The main responsibilities of the role will be: leading the solution design and implementation of key IT projects, co-ordinating with our partner teams on configuration, testing and training, and being a key IT point of contact for Ricoh Finance teams.

What you will be doing

Own the financial aspects of assigned projects, which may sit within your team or span end‑to‑end, cross‑workstream initiatives, ensuring objectives across design, implementation, data migration, and testing are successfully delivered. Work closely with the business to gather, analyse, and document requirements, engaging stakeholders at all levels to translate business needs into clear, well‑defined solution designs and partnering with technical teams to deliver effective system and process outcomes. Own documentation for system configuration, design, and processes within your area, ensuring training materials are accurate and up to date, and lead internal upskilling sessions with Application Support and Shared Service Centre teams. Support data migration activities in partnership with business and technical teams Take accountability for data migration activities, including documentation, monitoring progress, reviewing data quality, and supporting resolution of any issues. Support testing and implementation of application changes when required, applying strong attention to detail to deliver business outcomes through robust, controlled end‑to‑end processes. Identify and drive continuous improvement opportunities across systems and processes, securing senior management approval and coordinating with partner teams to deliver approved changes.

You will ideally have

Ideally successful candidates will have proven experience and skills, developed whilst working in an IT/systems accountant role. Experience with Oracle R12 Financials (essential) and/or MS Business Central (advantageous) Understanding of regulatory and tax localisation requirements across EMEA (strongly preferred) Experience of working within a business Finance function would be an advantage but not essential Ability to communicate concisely, clearly and effectively across functions (technical and non-technical) and cultures, and to senior stakeholders (e.g. CFO level). Demonstrates the ability to analyse and understand data and information quickly. Uses information, insights and knowledge in a structured way to recommend options. Focused to deliver – demonstrates determination, purpose and resourcefulness to deliver the best results for the organisation. High attention to detail and proactive approach to delivery. Fluent in English both verbal and written. A second European language (French, Spanish or German) is useful but not essential. Proficiency in Microsoft applications. Some European travel may be required. Demonstrated project management capability is preferred, including use of project management methodologies and approaches.
