This role is open to current University of Leeds undergraduate students in their penultimate year of study only.

This role will be based on the university campus with scope for it to be undertaken in a hybrid manner. We are also open to discussing flexible working arrangements.

The successful candidate will work across three teams within Global Opportunities:

The Work-Based Learning and Partnerships team is an external facing team working with Small and Medium sized Enterprises (SMEs), charities, University of Leeds departments and multi-national organisations to develop paid work-based learning opportunities, exclusively for University of Leeds students and graduates.

The Volunteering, and Undergraduate Research and Leadership Programmes team, enable students to engage in volunteering, community engaged learning, research opportunities and leadership programmes during their time at university. The team work closely with charities, not for profit organisations and schools in the Leeds area to provide meaningful opportunities for students to volunteer and undertake placements in these sector.

The Employer Engagement team manage the University’s external engagement with employers and organisations. The team play a key part in the planning, coordination and delivery of flagship careers events and activities, creating meaningful connections between employers and our talented students. As well as managing the careers portal for vacancies and job opportunities.

In this varied role you will be responsible for the day-to-day administration of some of these programmes, giving you the opportunity to liaise and work with many teams within the University and with external partners. You’ll gain skills in administration, communication, marketing, compliance and project management, and an insight into the voluntary and education sectors. You will also be required to work across other teams within the Global Opportunities Team (for example, Study Abroad) to collaborate on projects and assist during peak times

You will be involved in the promotion and marketing of opportunities to University of Leeds students of all levels and degree disciplines, as well as contributing towards the range and volume of opportunities we offer.

You will be an enthusiastic individual, able to confidently work with a wide range of stakeholders. You will have excellent administrative and organisational skills combined with an ability to manage and prioritise your own workload.
