Graduate SEND Role - Teaching Assistant

Leader Education is seeking compassionate and dedicated Graduates to support to support children and young people with behavioural difficulties in mainstream & specialist SEND schools across the Leeds & Wakefield Areas. These are long-term temporary roles, ideal for candidates seeking a consistent, full-time position in a supportive and structured environment.

The Role

You will work with pupils who have a wide range of additional needs, including communication and interaction difficulties, sensory needs, behavioural and social differences.

Key Responsibilities Include

Providing 1:1 and small group support to help pupils access the curriculum Assisting in the development of independence, and confidence Supporting communication and social development Adapting your approach to meet the individual needs of each pupil Contributing to a nurturing and structured learning environment

Role Requirements

Experience in a school environment is desirable but not essential. We are looking for recent graduates in the Leeds and Wakefield areas. What matters most for this role is a genuine passion for supporting children on their education journey, a willingness to learn, and a commitment to a long-term placement.
