Grant Fundraiser (Trusts & Corporates) 📍 Location: Headway House, Stoke-on-Trent (office-based) 🕒 Hours: 21 hours per week 💼 Contract: Permanent 💰 Salary: £17,165 rising to £20,263 (FTE £28,609 rising to £33,772)
Make a real difference with your fundraising skills Headway North Staffordshire is seeking a passionate and experienced Grant Fundraiser to help secure vital income that supports adults affected by brain injury. This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in a small, dedicated leadership team—helping people rebuild their independence and lives.

The role As our Grant Fundraiser, you will lead on securing income from trusts, foundations, and corporate partners. You’ll develop compelling funding applications, manage relationships with funders, and help shape the organisation’s fundraising strategy. You will: Research, write, and submit high-quality grant applications Build and manage relationships with funders, corporates, and stakeholders Develop a strong pipeline of funding opportunities Monitor and report on grants, ensuring compliance and impact Maintain accurate records and use data to improve performance Contribute to strategic planning as part of the Leadership Team Support the development of broader fundraising activity
About you We’re looking for someone who is motivated, organised, and an excellent communicator, with a proven track record in grant fundraising. You will have: At least 2 years’ experience in charity grant fundraising A strong record of securing 5- and 6-figure funding Excellent bid-writing and communication skills Experience managing relationships with trusts, corporates, or major donors Strong organisational and data management skills The ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities It would be great if you also have: 5+ years’ experience in a similar role Knowledge of NHS or local authority commissioning Understanding of fundraising best practice and regulations
