Ground Operations Officer – Aircraft Handling Specialist
DHL Air UK is DPDHL’s UK airline and provides DHL Express with an intercontinental air network to achieve time definite, day definite and same day delivery options for its customers. With a mixed fleet of Boeing aircraft and employing over 450 aviation specialists, DHL Air UK is a critical entity in a larger international group which has become a household brand in providing world logistics since its founding in 1969. DHL Express employs over 103,900 specialists in more than 220 countries and territories with the majority based between 3 global hubs in Leipzig, Cincinnati and Hong Kong.
The successful candidate will work within the airline’s Ground Operations department based at East Midlands Airport, providing aircraft ground handling support for establishment and oversight of the global route network.
You can expect to:
Experience being part of a fluid multinational organisation. Be part of the establishment of new route lines and the continual oversight required to maintain standards. Work with stakeholders from different business units based across the globe. Support the Safety and Compliance Management Systems to achieve their objectives Support the business with your analytical ability and provide interpreted data at stakeholders’ request. Assist the Ground Operations team to deliver upon a diverse portfolio of objectives.

Person Specification
You should have:
A Bachelor’s Degree in Aviation/Transportation/Logistics. The ability to work efficiently and manage your own workload. Strong ability to work independently and within a team with a wide range of responsibilities across various disciplines. Strong, pragmatic problem solving and analytical skills. Strong interpersonal and communication skills (written and verbal) with an excellent command of the English language to communicate at all levels of the business. Competent knowledge of all MS Office applications, particularly MS Excel.
