About Us The Four Provinces Pub is a lively and welcoming Irish pub in the heart of Coventry. Family-owned and proudly operating for over 50 years, we are an independent venue free of brewery tie, giving us the flexibility to offer a range of drinks alongside great food and a warm, community-focused atmosphere. We pride ourselves on delivering excellent customer service and creating a memorable experience for every guest.

The Role We are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated Assistant Manager to support the day-to-day running of the pub. You will work closely with the General Manager to ensure smooth operations, maintain high standards, and lead the team to deliver exceptional service.

Key Responsibilities Support the General Manager in all aspects of pub operations Lead, motivate, and develop the front-of-house team Ensure outstanding customer service at all times Assist with staff training, scheduling, and performance management Manage stock control, ordering, and inventory Ensure compliance with health & safety and licensing regulations Handle customer feedback and resolve issues professionally Step in to manage shifts and oversee service when required

What We’re Looking For Previous experience in a supervisory or assistant management role within hospitality Strong leadership and team management skills Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities A hands-on, proactive approach with a positive attitude Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and stay calm under pressure Good understanding of stock management and financial controls Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays
