Description: Full Time / 37 Hours Per Week / Permanent Are you a creative individual with a background in Communications and Marketing looking for a new challenge? Why not join our dedicated Housing Division to play a key role in ensuring effective information and communication is given to tenants, staff and partners. Reporting to the Programme Manager, you'll be working in the Regulatory Standards team alongside the Training and Learning Coordinator, to ensure the housing division is complaint with the Regulator of Social Housing's consumer standards. This is a full time, permanent position working 37 hours per week, Monday to Friday. However, on occasion you may be expected to work evenings and weekends. You'll have flexibility in hybrid working being both office based at City Hall or working remotely from home to suit your needs. However, under our New Ways of Working Policy you'll be required to work from a non-home location a minimum of two days. What you'll be doing No one day will be the same in this varied role. Your day-to-day activities will include, but not be limited to, working alongside colleagues to keep key stakeholders up to date with performance and essential updates. You'll help create, and then go on to use, successful communication strategies and action plans, which will utilise the use of social media and more conventional channels of communication to ensure a wide variety of audiences are met. You'll play a key part in ensuring all written material meets corporate standards. And oversee the divisional policy library, ensuring that all key documents are kept up to date and relevant. In addition, you'll be responsible for developing and delivering the Knowledge and Information strategy. What you'll need The ideal candidate will be someone who has knowledge and experience of working in a communication or marketing environment. You'll have experience in designing, delivering and/or commissioning communications in a number of formats such as newsletters, ezines as well as advanced knowledge of social media and emerging technologies. As a confident, knowledgeable individual you'll have the ability to make decisions, and make recommendations to senior staff and leaders to ensure consistently excellent results are achieved. You'll have the ability to work autonomously under pressure to tight deadlines often with a number of workstreams at the same time. Innovation and creativity are essential components for the successful delivery of the communication strategy, and you must have the ability to think of and recommend new solutions to deliver results. Within this role, you'll work with a variety of people and therefore must be flexible, approachable, be people-centred and driven to deliver excellent services. Once in post, it is essential to undertake a housing related qualification.
