HR (HCM) Project Manager - 2 year FTC, based 4 days per week in London.
Our client is a global transportation organisation currently seeking an experienced HR (HCM) Project Manager to lead the end-to-end delivery of a global Workday HCM implementation across a complex, federated environment supporting approximately 22,500 users worldwide. This role offers the opportunity to lead a greenfield transformation programme, replacing legacy systems and manual processes with a single, modern HCM platform.
Key Responsibilities Lead the full project lifecycle, from discovery and requirements definition through to implementation and global rollout Establish and maintain robust project governance, planning, and reporting frameworks Manage System Integrator (SI) selection, onboarding, and delivery performance Ensure alignment between global standards and local regulatory and operational requirements Oversee data migration, testing, deployment, and user adoption Engage and manage senior stakeholders across multiple operating companies
Skills and Experience Required Proven experience delivering large-scale, global HCM implementations Experience of leading the end to end delivery of Workday Experience in System Integrator/vendor selection and management, including RFP processes Ability to operate effectively within a federated, multi-entity environment Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills Strong understanding of HR processes, data migration, and system integration Experience of leading projects end to end from vendor selection through to implementation Relevant project management qualifications (e.g. PRINCE2, PMP, MSP, Agile) desirable
